Hello all and welcome to blogging in Antibiotic Discovery! I'm creating this post for you to show you how to publish a post and share it to a blog (either our class blog or your own personal blog!)
When you are making a blog, it can be nice to add some pictures, because it makes the information more visually appealing to your reader! To add a picture, you use the Add button on the left-hand menu. This same menu lets you add other media like videos, photo galleries, gifs or files, as well as design elements like dividers, buttons, tables, lists and polls. Feel free to play around with these when creating both personal and educational blogs!

When you insert a photo, it will offer the option to enter a caption. Sometimes you need a caption to explain the content of your photo and sometimes you don't...it's up to you as the blog designer to choose!
When you click on the photo you inserted, editing tools will come up. This will allow you to adjust the size of the photo, choose how to place the photo on the page (left, center or right), add a link to the photo so if someone clicks on it, it will open a new page, or other editing options.
After entering a photo, Wix will automatically let you type text next to the photo if you chose to align it to the left or right instead of center. This can make your post flow better visually!
When you are done working on your blog, you can either save it or publish it. Both options are in the top right-hand corner of the editing page (see image below). If you save it, you can work on it later but no one else can see it. If you publish it, you can STILL edit it later, but other people can now see it on your public site (or our class public site!).

One last thing...some students have trouble finding their personal blog public link to share with me. That's easy! When you are on your main dashboard, just under where it says "Welcome back to your Dashboard" there is a banner and, on that banner, there is a link to your public site which you can share or use to see what your post looks like once it's published!
I hope this helps you when creating your first blogs! Let me know if you have any additional questions and I can add my answers to this post!
